How does Soliom doorbell work?

Soliom wireless doorbell connect to your home Wi-Fi 2.4g network. When someone at your door or press the bell, it sends real time notification to your smart phone. And using Soliom free app to see the 1080p hd live stream video of the visistor at your door and speak to them using the two way talk function.Soliom doorbell can alert you when motion is detected around your door or someone tries to rip the doorbell off. And it operates on battery power and self-sustainable with its built-in solar power panel.

Why did the doorbell start ringing on its own in the morning?

1. It may be caused by the thermal expansion. The PIR detection theory is detecting the people by the temperature of human body. Cold night and warm sunshine create thermal expansion, which makes doorbell ring at false.

 2. It is suggested that you turn off or reduce the sensitivity of the PIR when you get false notifications frequently. When someone press the doorbell , you can also receive the video call or notifications.

How and where to save the video captured by motion detection ? my doorbell is setup to record all PIR activity yet it has never recorded even one event.

Make sure you have installed a SD card in the doorbell.
I. Videos can be saved in Cloud Storage and SD card : 
 (1)the videos of PIR motion detection
 (2)the videos of pressing the doorbell ring button
 (3)The videos of tamper device alarm 

II: Videos can be saved in the SD card: 
 (1)the videos of PIR motion detection 
 (2)the videos of pressing the doorbell ring button

 (4)The videos of live streaming view

III: Videos can be saved in the mobile phone app album: 
 (1)the manual videos of REC mode when you live streaming

When the phone talk to bell at bell side able to hear clearly but when bell tall to phone totally cannot hear from phone , why?

1. Check the voice icon on the lower right side of the app, please click on the voice icon. 

2. Please adjust the volume of the phone to the maximum. 

3. Please make sure that the wifi signal is good and the live streaming video quality is smooth.Otherwise,the two way talk will have a load delay.

There are times when the doorbell will not connect by using the application. It will take a couple times to connect,why?

1.It caused by a bad Wi-Fi connection,Please make sure your doorbell Wi-Fi signal to be the strongest level.Check the Wi-Fi signal at the upper right of the app.

2.The obstruction between doorbell and router will reduce the strength of the Wi-Fi signal,it is suggested to install a Wi-Fi extender between them to get a stronger Wi-Fi signal. 

Why did I miss some video calls when someone press the X80 doorbell?

Please make sure the below 5 points:

 1.Set up you phone in Permission Management to allow SOLIOM APP to send you notifications. Following this: Setting-Notifications-Soliom app- Click on Allow Notification 

 2. Click the icon in the upper right in the APP to enter into device settings- click the accept call - choose Notification or call in as you preferred.

 3. Please be noted that when you're doing live streaming view in the app, your phone won't call in or send you a notification when a visitor press the doorbell ring button.

 4. please ensure that the SOLIOM APP runs in background from your phone. 

 5.Usually the PIR is turned off by default, please turn it on in the app and choose a sensitivity as you preferred. 

    Route: Device Setting - Pir detection-please choose a sensitivity.

Why does my phone constantly with no reason for alert and then not notify me when there is someone at the door ?

 1.The phone alerting you with no reason may be caused by the thermal expansion. The PIR detection can detect the people by the temperature of human body. Cold night and warm sunshine cause thermal expansion, which make doorbells mistake thermal expansion as human. 

 2.Please be noted that when you're doing live streaming view in the app, your phone won't call in or send you a notification when a visitor press the doorbell ring button.   3.The doorbell can only be triggered when it is in standby mode and the SOLIOM APP runs in background. The doorbell need 15-20 second to enter into again the standby mode from awaken. 

 4.Usually the PIR is turned off by default, please turn it on in the app and choose a sensitivity as you preferred.

How to playback the videos from my phone? What is the best way to view recorded events?

 1. You can double click and enlarge the time line to check the video. 

2. You can also push aside the timeline to enlarge it with two fingers,by this way,you can choose the video on timeline and see the details. 

3. You can also copy the videos to your computer and playback it.

I have shared the code with family members - why did their phones can not ring when a visitor presses the button?

Please make sure the below 4 points on your family members'phone:

In the app, it asks for my WiFi SSID and password, but will only let me click on the box to enter my password, why?

1.You must connect the 2.4gHZ wifi to your phone firstly. 

2. Press and hold on the reset button using the pin included in the package and you will hear a voice saying "system's reset" .

3. Open the app--add a device--setup device.

4. When you hear the following voice: “The camera is now ready to begin pairing", please click "yes". 

5.Input the CORRECT 2.4gHZ Wi-Fi password (same password as stated at Step One). If not, you will not be able to connect successfully. So click the eye icon to show the characters to make sure your password is correct again.

How to find the QR code and share it to my family to add additional smart phones?

1.Click setting iron to find the QR code. 

2.Find the steps in Page 10 in the user manual.

Why does the doorbell show black and white image in dark environment?

The Soliom doorbell or solar camera will automatically switch itself into night vision mode and the video is black and white color, when aibient light brightness is lower than 10 LUX. This is defaulted and not adjustable.

How long does it take to charge a fully used battery back to 100%?

Soliom doorbell will fully charge in approximately 8-10 hours.

How does Soliom Bird cam S60 work?

 Soliom Solar bird camera S60 connect to your home Wi-Fi 2.4g network. When someone passing by the camera, it records the video or sends real time notification to your smart phone. And using Soliom free app to see the 1080p hd live stream video of the visistor and speak to them using the two way talk function. Soliom S60 can alert you when motion is detected around your yard where the camera is installed. And it operates on battery power and self-sustainable with its built-in solar power panel.

How Many People Can View a Soliom Security Camera at the Same Time?

 Each Soliom  can invite 7 users at most. The administrator account and invited users  can get notifications the same time.

When the SD Card is full, does it overwrite the oldest files or is there an option for this?

1) The micro sd card is defaulted to be overwritten the oldest files by the newer ones. 

 2) Soliom doorbell can save at most 20 motion triggered videos to the Cloud for free. It can keep for 7 days and be reset to zero circularly.

Why do I fail to connect the camera to the App by sound wave?

1. Please reset the camera using the pin included.

 2. Please make sure the camera is powered on and hear the voice prompts. 

3. Make sure the distance between your mobile phone and the device is no more than 30cm(12in) ,and your phone,camera and router are in the same room. 

4. Adjust your phone volume to the maximum. 

5. Click on the eye icon and double check your WiFi password is correct.

Why I cannot receive any alarm after I finished connecting the camera with the App ?

1. Check the App to confirm you have chosen ''Notification''under the ''Push mode''menu. 

2. Check your mobile settings to allow notifications.Following this: Setting-Notifications-Soliom app- Click on Allow Notification 

When App setup is done, why I could not see the live streams on my mobile?

1.Please check the App to confirm if the wifi signal is the strongest . 

 2.If not,it is suggested to move camera near to your router to reduce the obstruction or by adding wifi extender in between to extend your wifi signal.

Why does the APP show the time several hours later?

There are two times shown on the soliom app. 

1.The time shown at the left upper in white font is keeping the same with the time on your phone. 

2.The time in yellow font below is the watermark time for videos which will be updated after you turn on the cloud storage. 

Please turn on the cloud storage and make sure your phone's time is correct.

When I want to switch from Silence to Notification or Call in the Soliom app, I get the error “Fail to bind push service”, why?

You need to choose the area zone when you connect your soliom products to the app .There are Chinese mainland and non-Chinese mainland option .Please choose non-Chinese mainland option.
